First Dental Checkup

Every new patient receives examination and a precise evaluation of his or her oral health to assess current dental condition. Based on your needs, desires and oral health condition, Dr. Debroy will advise you of your treatment options and together will decide which treatment is the best for you. He will allow enough time to thoroughly discuss your treatment needs and concerns, as he feels that understanding these is a critical component of helping you achieve your dental goals.

The oral evaluation consists of the following:

Clinical Examination:
All tooth surfaces will be checked for decay. Teeth with fillings, crowns or other restorations will also be inspected. In some cases pre-operatory photographs will be taken.

INTRAORAL X-RAYS

Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss; x-rays also help determine tooth and root position.

PERIODONTAL ASSESSMENT:

Checking of the gums and bone around the teeth for any signs of periodontal disease.

Diagnostic Impressions:
Impression of your teeth will be taken if necessary, with special impression material.
